I've blogged about some abandoned things around Connecticut as well (particularly close to Madison, where I live). They're in my blog somewhere, but I haven't posted in years, I've just been too busy lately. But there's plenty of abandoned places I know about here there and everywhere, and I love exploring them!
Hey where I live in Plainville there are some cool abandoned places. The plaza on New Britain ave, lots of old abandoned shops and buildings, and up on Pinnacle mountain there is a lot of abandoned equipment and foundations from when it was a Nike missile base in the cold war
stumbled across your website today. As someone who does not know this state well, i thought it would be cool if you could incorporate a map with links to the stories. this way someone can see where all these abandoned places are. (not that google maps cant help me..)
So, so very sorry about the closing of the Danbury store. It's definitely a loss for Danbury. Please consider not closing or maybe moving to another location in Danbury.
I have a new one for you to put in your future file, Portland CT - 264 Freestone Ave Closing a factory at the end of May, building to be empty by end of June 2015. It's a folding carton company that has been around for 50 years
Old rubber factory on Route 149 in Colchester (Westchester section of town). About a mile from Route 2 exit 16. I heard its a little crumbled since a second fire several years ago. But still standing.
I tried doing some research and cannot find what your talking about. Could you email me with more info? I'd love to check it out. AbandonedCT@yahoo.com
I was wondering if you guys know anything about the Bailey Mansion in Hartford. I've heard a few things, but nothing excessive, and I was just wondering if anyone even knows the actual history of it.
Just a suggestion, In Shelton on canal street there is the old star pin factory once the largest pin manufacture in the world the place is huge and you should defiantly go check it out
Yes. If you mean the one next to stop and shop in Elmwood. It used to be extremely easy to get into. Now there usually a guard in the booth at the front parking lot. But there is another way in. Follow the fence to the back
Hi Mike, I was wondering if you ever take people with you to check out these places? I love doing stuff like that but always feel better when I have someone with me. Please let me know, I'm very interested! Thanks Lisa E North Haven,CT

The tour appropriately begins at one of the Milford Ghost Walk in Connecticut. It is the very spot where, in 1637, the Reverend Peter Prudden officially formed the Milford colony on the Wepawaug river. The river encouraged the dangerous and often deadly industry of shipbuilding. This industry thrived in the 1700s causing many accidents and deaths. Residents often report “disembodied lights along the riverbank that can not be explained.” They attribute these sightings to these tragedies, Cindy tells us.
Hello everyone, I don't know how old this thread is and if anyone will respond but... I'm trying to get involved in urbex, I'm looking for a safe spot to check out some time in Bethel. Does anyone know any?
